Outreach & Community Engagement

School & Library Outreach Ambassadors – Contact schools, libraries, and community centers to share upcoming events and programs.

Social Media Street Team – Like, share, and comment on posts to help expand our reach.

Community Partnership Builders – Help identify and connect with potential local sponsors, bookstores, and educational partners.
Content & Creative Contributions

Resource Writers – Write short, engaging writing and/or reading engagement strategies or minilessons for our online resource bank

Blog contributors – Write a 700-1000 word piece that might appeal to educators, librarians, parents, or community partners that centers on a strategy, recommendation, or solution - centered on our mission to inspire a deep love of reading and writing in middle-grade students.

Graphic Design Volunteers – Create flyers, social media graphics, and promotional materials.
​

Photography & Video Volunteers – Capture photos and video of your classroom/school participating in our events, or edit short highlight reels for promotion.
Fundraising & Administrative Support

OWAAT Ambassadors – Send personalized emails to friends, colleagues, media contacts – help us build our audience and ask for donations.

Grant Research Assistants – Help identify potential funding sources and compile background information for proposals.
​

Grant Writers – Help us apply for grant funding year-round.
​

Mini-gala Hosts – Host a read-a-thon or social event to raise money for OWAAT.

Snail Mail Senders – to come - We'll provide printable postcards (and/or letter templates) that you can send to your personal contacts. (In time, we will provide addresses for you, too.)
